Enphase — Common Questions

How long is the Enphase microinverter warranty?

Enphase IQ7 and IQ8 microinverters carry a 25-year warranty. Legacy M215 and M250 units have a 25-year warranty. M190 units have a 15-year warranty. If your microinverter fails within the warranty period, Enphase will ship a replacement unit — we handle the installation.

Why is my Enphase Enlighten showing offline microinverters?

Offline microinverters in Enlighten can indicate a failed microinverter, a loose Q-connector or trunk cable, a communication issue with the IQ Gateway, or a grid/AC wiring problem. We diagnose the root cause on-site.

Can you service an Enphase system from a company that went out of business?

Yes. We service Enphase systems from any installer. We can transfer the Enlighten account to your ownership, reconnect monitoring, and perform all repairs regardless of who originally installed the system.

What is the difference between Enphase IQ7 and IQ8?

The IQ8 is Enphase's current generation and includes Sunlight Backup capability — it can produce limited power during a grid outage even without a battery. The IQ7 requires a battery (like the IQ Battery) for backup power. Both are serviceable by us.

My Enphase system is producing less than expected — what should I check?

Log into Enlighten and check for any microinverters showing as offline or producing significantly less than their neighbors. If all microinverters look normal but total production is low, the issue may be shading, dirty panels, or a monitoring reporting error. We perform a full production audit.
