What is the Generac PWRcell warranty?
Generac PWRcell carries a 10-year warranty covering defects and capacity retention. The warranty covers the battery cabinet and individual modules. Warranty service is handled through Generac — we provide diagnostic documentation to support your claim.
Why is my PWRcell not charging?
A PWRcell that is not charging can be caused by a software issue, a REbus communication fault, a solar inverter problem, a grid connection issue, or a hardware fault in the battery modules or cabinet. We diagnose all of these scenarios on-site.
Can individual PWRcell modules be replaced?
Yes. The PWRcell uses a modular design with individual 3 kWh battery modules. If one module fails, it can often be replaced without replacing the entire cabinet, which can significantly reduce repair costs.
What is the PWRcell REbus network?
REbus is Generac's DC communication network that connects the PWRcell battery, PWRmicro microinverters, and PWRview monitoring. Communication faults on the REbus network can cause the system to appear offline or behave unexpectedly. We diagnose REbus faults on-site.
My PWRcell backup duration seems shorter than expected — what should I check?
Check the PWRview app for any module errors or capacity warnings. If all modules appear healthy but backup duration is short, it may indicate a configuration issue (not all modules are being used) or actual capacity loss. We perform a full capacity check.
