Solar Warranty Repair
Panel, Inverter & Workmanship

We perform solar warranty repairs and help homeowners navigate manufacturer warranty claims for panels, inverters, and batteries — including systems from installers that are no longer in business.

Your panel and inverter warranties are between you and the manufacturer — they survive even if your original installer closed. We provide the diagnostic documentation needed to support your claim and perform the warranty repair work.

Types of Solar Warranties We Service

Solar systems have multiple overlapping warranties. Here is what each covers and how we help:

Panel Product Warranty

Covers manufacturing defects — delamination, cell failures, frame damage. Typically 10–25 years. We document defects and support your manufacturer claim.

Panel Performance Warranty

Covers output degradation beyond the guaranteed rate (typically 80–90% at 25 years). We perform output testing and provide the documentation manufacturers require.

Inverter Warranty

Enphase microinverters: 25 years. SolarEdge: 12 years (extendable). SMA, Fronius, Sungrow: 5–10 years. We install warranty replacement units from all brands.

Workmanship Warranty

Covers installation defects — improper wiring, roof leak from mounting, loose connections. If your original installer is gone, we assess and repair at standard rates.

How We Help With Warranty Claims

Warranty claims require documentation. We provide what manufacturers need and perform the repair work:

  • Diagnostic inspection and written report documenting the defect
  • Output testing to support performance warranty claims
  • Inverter error code documentation for manufacturer RMA
  • Installation of warranty replacement inverters and microinverters
  • Panel replacement when manufacturer approves warranty claim
  • Account transfer and documentation for orphaned systems
  • Honest assessment of whether a defect is warranty-covered or not

Solar Warranty — Common Questions

What solar warranties cover repairs?

Solar systems typically have three types of warranties: a panel product warranty (covers defects, usually 10–25 years), a panel performance warranty (covers output degradation, usually 25 years), and an inverter manufacturer warranty (5–25 years depending on brand).

My solar installer is out of business — who handles my warranty?

Your panel and inverter manufacturer warranties are still valid — they are between you and the manufacturer, not the installer. We can help you file manufacturer warranty claims and perform the required diagnostic work to support the claim.

How do I file a solar panel warranty claim?

Panel warranty claims require documentation: the original purchase invoice, installation records, and a diagnostic report showing the defect. We provide the diagnostic report and documentation needed to support your claim with the manufacturer.

Does Enphase warranty cover microinverter replacement?

Enphase microinverters carry a 25-year warranty. If a microinverter fails within the warranty period, Enphase will ship a replacement unit. We handle the installation of warranty replacement units.

What is a solar workmanship warranty?

A workmanship warranty covers defects in the installation itself — improper wiring, roof penetration leaks caused by the installation, or mounting hardware failures. If your original installer is gone, we assess the installation and perform repairs at our standard rates.
